Approx. 21.5 x 7 cm, coloured wood block illustration, double sided, folded; Japanese Army, no place, n.d.[c.1942]. *Propaganda leaflets were dropped on Allied troops in the New Guinea and surrounding islands. This leaflet shows a bloodied Australian soldier waving a white flag with numerous corpses strewn across the landscape behind him. The text, printed in red, reads "To hell with this bloody war! I aint going to be on that "fool's list"! I'm coming home alive, Mary." Front cover depicts "Mary" looking through a list titled "Latest Casualties" with an expression of horror on her face.
