Raggatt's (No 22213) 13th Field Company Engineers, personal training note book, 44 pages (plus 48 post blank pages) of carefully and legibly pencilled notes on subjects varying from gas attacks, field geometry, map reading, fencing, explosives, musketry, road and trench construction, dated from 24.6.18 to 31.7.18; post 12mo; cloth boards, worn, soiled and scuffed, fore-corners bruised; leaves a trfile browned, ownership inscription and manufacturer's stamp on upper pastedown; no place, 1918. *Harold George Raggatt (1900-1968) enlisted in the AIF after his 18th birthday on 25th January 1918. He trained as an engineer and was sent overseas on 4.3.18 but by the time he had reached France the war had ended. He returned to Australia, went to University and graduated with First Class Honours in Geology and had a prominent career working both in Australia and overseas.

S. Cumpston, this set includes the Branch Constitution (first volume); award citations, historical snippets and general Branch business; photocopies of press clippings and other memorabilia (including dinner menus, leaflets and programs), and material relating to the Worldwide Commemorative Gathering of The Rats of Tobruk Association in Canberra at Easter 1966 on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the commencement of the Seige of Tobruk (9 April - 10 December 1941). With a Rats of Tobruk window transfer loosely inserted.
