Dunlop Rubber Australia Limited.
FACTS ABOUT SYNTHETIC TYRES.
Pp. 16(including wrappers), printed in red & black, full page map; printed paper wrappers, stapled, slightly soiled and creased, with the company's ink stamp on upper wrapper above the title and on verso of lower wrapper; pages lightly creased; Dunlop Rubber Australia Limited, Melbourne, 1944. *90% of the world's supply of crude rubber was lost to the United Nations when the Japanese armies over-ran Malaya and the Dutch East Indies, causing the UN to pool existing stocks. When this pool became dangerously low in 1943, a substitute was urgently needed. Issued as a Dunlop service to traders and users, this pamphlet attempts 'to give a clear picture of what "Synthetic" Tyres can accomplish so that tyre users will be in a position to gain the utmost value from "Synthetic" Tyres when they become available for essential civilian requirements in Australia'.
