Pp. 320(last colophon), title and colophon vignettes, endpaper map printed on green paper stock; brown cloth, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, boards a trifle canted, the cloth faded, fore-corners slightly bruised; top edges once red (now faded), bottom edges uncut; price-clipped dust wrapper, edges heavily chipped and quite brittle, with pieces torn from head of backstrip and top fore-corner of front flap, long closed tear from top edge across back panel to flap fold, the backstrip browned and nearly detached from front panel; hinges starting at a couple of points, closed tear from bottom edge pp. 29/30 extending into last 2 lines of text, a couple of spots of foxing; Faber, London, 1935. Second impression. *The pictorial dust wrapper is by Charles Tunnicliffe, who illustrated later editions of the book. Item #135092
