Second [English] edition, revised. *The translator, Ernest Alfred Vizetelly (1853\endash 1922) was the son of the publisher Henry Vizetelly , who in 1888 was prosecuted for obscene libel for his translation of Zola's La Terre. Henry Vizetelly issued several translations of French and Russian author's, and Ernest Vizetelly's translations of Zola were based on his father's work. Item #139570
