Catherine Parker (c.1855-1940), travelled with her first husband through northern New South Wales and Queensland, collecting native legends and stories. After Parker's death, she married Percival Stow. Her 1896 book, Australian Legendary Tales, was Australia's first major collection of Aboriginal legends. Item #155605
