First edition. *The frontispiece reproduces a bookplate designed by the author, who was Ellen Terry's son, for his mother. Housed in a pocket on the lower pastedown is the Annex, a 30 page booklet (with frontispiece), subtitled A plea for G.B.S., in which Craig details his reaction to the publication of the correspondence between Ellen Terry and George Bernard Shaw.
