[1919]. First edition. Muir 2702. *Harold Gaze (1884-1963) was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and spent some of his childhood in Australia, before moving with his mother to England. In 1917, he returned to Australia, settling first in Melbourne, where he was an exhibiting member of the Victorian Artists' Society. Later he moved to Sydney, then spent some time in New Zealand, before returning to London in 1922. For most of the rest of his life he lived in America. Item #114372
