Eighteen volumes, totalling approximately 2,700 pages and 60 plates (including several tipped-in facsimile letters, some of which are folding, a couple of the plates tinted and several with tissue guards), pictorial title page to most and engraved pictorial limitation page to all volumes, a few text decorations (mainly the society's device printed in red or blue), bibliographies, constitution and by-laws, lists of members and publications, etc.; med. 8vo; all but two (Volumes X & XI) bound in varying shades of paper (Volume I grey, others ranging from cream to brown), the spines of nine volumes lettered in gilt, eight volumes with printed paper title labels (some faded or slightly discoloured), Volume X bound in qr. vellum, spine lettered in gilt and decorated in red, with canvas boards (slightly silverfished), Volume XI qr. cream cloth, spine lettered in red, light brown buckram boards, several volumes slightly soiled, some corners bruised or lightly worn, a few wormholes to upper joint of Volume XVIII, and occasionally partly unopened, Volume X [only] t.e.g.; Volumes I-IX & XI within red card slipcases (mostly worn, some heavily repaired); bookplate of John A. Spoor on upper pastedown Volumes IX & X, some of the free endpapers slightly offset, the last few pages in Volume XII repeated, occasional light foxing; The Bibliophile Society, Boston, 1902-1919. Each volume limited to 500 copies. *Articles include Concerning the Art of Illustration, by Howard Pyle; Poetry in the Making: The Three Shelley Note Books, by H. Buxton Forman; and Paul Verlaine - the poet of absinthe, by Nathan Haskell Dole. Volume X contains several proof plates. Loosely inserted in the later volumes are gift slips from American book collectors to \fs24 Australian bookseller and bibliophile Harry Muir \fs26 (mostly from Elizabeth Watson Diamond).
