First edition. Notable British Trials series, Volume 69. *'On 30th November, 1946, the body of a murdered man was found in a chalk pit near Woldingham in Surrey. Round the man's neck was a cord tied in such a way that it had only to by pulled slightly upwards to strangle him. On the neck of the corpse was a deep mark which might have been made by such a cord.
