An extraordinary outbreak of mutiny and murder occurred, resulting in the deaths of all but five of the thirteen persons on board, the ship was set on fire and abandoned, and the mutineers, taking to the life-boat, landed on the small island of Cajueira Tutoia in North Brazil on Christmas Day' [wrapper blurb].
