Coustillas A6.10b *Serialized in the Cornhill Magazine in monthly instalments from January to December 1888; first published in book form in three volumes by Smith, Elder & Co., London, in the same year. The first American edition, published in Philadelphia by Lippincott, was also in 1888. 'Like the other four Dutton editions of Gissing's novels published in the late 1920s, that of A Life's Morning is the American counterpart of the [UK] Nash and Grayson edition dated 1927 or 1928. It consists of sheets imported from England and is undated, but the publisher's records show that it was published on 12 March 1929'[ Coustillas pp. 69/70]. Item #152291
