Second edition, being one of 260 numbered copies on English hand-made paper, signed by the author. Keynes A30b. *From the collection of David Levine, Sydney, with his book label on verso of the upper free endpaper. Previously from the library of British politician and diplomat Duff Cooper whose large bookplate (designed by Rex Whistler, incorporating a bust of Cooper's wife, Lady Diana, as Artemis) is on the upper pastedown. According to Keynes, 'This special printing was an afterthought, made when the success of the ordinary edition was assured and the identity of the author known'. The book was originally published anonymously, in September 1928, with the authors' name added part-way through the printing of the second impression (after first 500 copies). Item #165613
