Pp. xx+432+xvi+416+xviii+418, 30 hand coloured plates (10 each volume), black & white title page vignette, text illustrations and decorative initials, the title pages printed in red & black, indices; roy. 8vo; dark blue cloth, spines lettered in gilt, light brown cloth boards, the upper boards with blue cloth inlays decorated pictorially in gilt, the boards slightly soiled, edges lightly rubbed, a couple of the fore-corners slightly bruised; uncut, Volumes II & III partly unopened; bookplate of Frederick Arthur Robinson on upper pastedowns, the free endpapers lightly offset, a few small edge chips or splits, hinges tender at a couple of points, some light foxing; Bradbury, Agnew, & Co.
