First edition. Gallup A64a. *The play was first produced at the Edinburgh Festival in 1953, where the cast included Denholm Elliott and Margaret Leighton. Gallup notes: 'Some copies - probably about half the impression - have a misprint "Ihad" for "I had" in line 2 up, page 7, which was corrected in press.
