He adopted the name Robert Lodge, using the surname of the English lady to whom he became engaged. At the outbreak of WWII he joined the army and later served in 2nd SAS, became a POW and later escaped to rejoin the SAS. He was later killed, presumed murdered after capture, on active service during Operation Loyton. Item #P12952
