Shortlist 489: Satirical sprees

Satire: the use of humorous exaggeration and irony to expose people’s failings and stupidity.

Humour: the quality of being amusing or comic, especially as expressed in literature or speech.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is the largest stand-alone comedy festival and the second-largest international comedy festival in the world. Established in 1987, it takes place annually in Melbourne over four weeks. This year’s Festival runs from 27 March to 21 April.
