Cadell, London, 1792. Second edition. *Scottish author Quintin Craufurd (1743-1819) served for several years with the East India Company, and amassed a considerable fortune. In 1780, he returned to Europe and settled in Paris, where he became a notable collector of books and art. Craufurd was closely associated with the French court, particularly Marie Antoinette.
