Large multi-folded sheet forming 32 pages (some of which are irregularly shaped and feature simulated 'burn marks' at edges), illustrated in colour and incorporating occasional small die-cuts; housed in a plain stiff paper portfolio within an oblong 4to red cloth box (28 cm. x 36.5 cm.) with tab side-fastening and black cloth sides, the title printed on the lid; The Wayzgoose Press, Katoomba, NSW, 2002.Edition limited to 32 numbered copies (of which numbers I-V were not for sale), signed by the author and publishers Mike Hudson and Jadwiga Jarvis;this being copy number 11 of 27 thus bound. *Accompanied by the original prospectus. 'This typographic rendition of George Alexander's poem ... was conceived and designed by Mike Hudson and hand set in a variety of types by Jadwiga Jarvis .... The book is illustrated with colographs and monoprints and further illuminated by hand, making each copy in this edition unique' [colophon]. In the prospectus, the publishers explain that 'the mise-en-page was designed to resemble the "fold-out" function of a route map, which allows the whole work to be spread out and viewed in one hit. Cut out shapes camouflage themselves according to what, by chance, will insinuate itself behind them'. Born in 1949, George Alexander is of Greek and Italian heritage, and works at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. In 1999 his novel Mortal Divide was awarded the New South Wales Premier's Award.
