First U.S. edition. *From the firearms collection of Douglas Mills, with two of his business cards laid on the upper pastedown. Earlier from the library of the Bissell family of Pittsburgh, with ownership inscriptions (one dated 1849) on the upper free endpaper and title page. The section of American Hunting and Shooting includes chapters by J. J. Audubon and 'Frank Forester' [Henry William Herbert].
