First edition. *Shabby copy. Portraits of RAF personnel, plus one plate captioned 'Stevens' Rocket' depicting the destruction of a Nazi night bomber. This drawing was done from descriptions given to the artist by RAF fighter pilot Richard Playne Stevens, who was noted for his night victories against German aircraft. Stevens was drawn twice by Kennington, but went missing in action in December 1941. Item #154537
