Pp. 644 continuously paginated (including advertisements, some pictorial), text illustrations (some full page, one coloured), title page vignettes printed in orange, index; med. 8vo; pictorial papered boards, slightly soiled, edges a trifle rubbed; a couple of spots of foxing; Pynson Printers, New York, 1935. *From the collection of Australian bookseller and bibliophile Harry Muir, with his bookplate on the upper pastedown of Number II, accompanied by 2 uncut sheets of two bookplates, printed in red & green: 'gift from J. Edouard Diamond/Christmas 1941/ Henry Blake Muir'. (Diamond and his wife Elizabeth were notable American bookplate collectors). The first volume is initialled in pencil by author and bibliographer A. J. A. Symons on the upper free endpaper and contains loosely inserted ephemera, including a typescript letter from the publishers to Adelaide booksellers F. W. Preece & Sons (where Muir was working), dated 27 February 1936. Item #154996
