Volumes I & II: L'Armee Imperiale; III: Le Siege de Paris; IV-VI: Les Armees de Province. Leonce Rousset (1850-1938) was wounded in 1870 during the Battle of Metz, before being taken prisoner by the Prussian army. He was the author of numerous historical and military publications.
