A pleasing association, since one of Straus's books was The Unspeakable Curll: Being some account of Edmund Curll, bookseller (Chapman & Hall, 1927). Edmund Curll (1675-1749) became notorious (mainly through the many attacks on him by Alexander Pope), for publishing unauthorized or pirated editions. Item #157050
