First edition. *Biography of the Bulletin cartoonist, by his daughter. From the library of New Zealand bibliophile Pat Lawlor, with his bookplate on the upper pastedown and a gift inscription to him on the upper free endpaper from William Moore (author of The Story of Australian Art), dated 1929. Editor, novelist and journalist Pat Lawlor (1893-1979) founded the New Zealand Ex Libris Society in 1930 and from 1932 to 1965 was the New Zealand representative of The Bulletin. The Lawlor collection in the National Library of Australia includes a substantial file on The Bulletin and letters to many Australian writers, including William Moore. Item #157664
