Pp [32]; small cr. 8vo; yellow paper wrappers, stapled, (wrappers lightly soiled, lower wrapper lightly marked), with specially engraved cover design (Aphrodite and cockerel) by Lettice Sandford plus engraving on lower wrapper (cockerel on girl's knee, cut on wood after a copper engraving in The Vigil of Venus, subsequently used on the title-page of Pertelote) by John Buckland-Wright; cream wove paper; prefatory matter consists of a brief pastiche: Aphrodite's Cockerel: A Myth, supposed to be from one of the lost books of Ovid; some notes on the history of the Press; and an obituary notice of E. Powys-Mathers.
