First edition, superior binding, being one of 150 copies thus of a total edition of 300, signed by the author/publisher. *A spoof history of a golf club in the fictitious republic of San Serriffe, where the names of the territories and the population come from bibliographic terminology. Attractions in the capital, Bodoni City, include the Golden Cockerel Night Club, and the San Serriffe Golf Club, where the caddies are the sinister twins Alberto and Quarto Morocco. President Manilla was assassinated there at the 17th tee, by Bembo Palatino, a local dissident and admirer of the beautiful lady golfer Perpetua Madonna. Some San Serriffe golfing ephemera is contained in a printed envelope within a pocket on the lower pastedown. Item #162982
