Special edition, being one of 30 large paper copies, with two sets of the coloured plates (reproducing the colouring of both the extremely rare 1805 edition and the second edition of 1822), together with hand-tinted pink interleaves and marbled endpapers, bound in the style of an original copy of the 1805 edition. *First published in 1805, with a second edition in 1822, John William Lewin's Prodromus Entomology . . . was the first Australian natural history book illustrated with plates produced in Australia from original observation.
