Self-described 'shearing shed anarchist' Bill Sutton ran the Peoples Bookshop in Brisbane, Queensland, where in 1972 he was prosecuted for selling a banned book (Phillip Roth's Portnoy's Complaint). Sutton, who died in 1977, was the honorary secretary of the Brisbane Realist Writers Group for many years. Item #167127
