Pp. [ii]+26; demy 8vo; printed stiff white paper wrappers, lettered and decorated in black, stapled (slightly rusted), the wrappers lightly soiled; The Hassell Press, Adelaide, 1944. First edition. *Inscribed and signed by the author (dated 1982) on the title page. Born in England, Ian Sabey (1906-1985) arrived in Australia in 1924 and became a journalist for the South Australian newspaper The Advertiser. These poems were written while he was a prisoner-of war in Germany, during the Second World War. From 1946 he was publicity for the airline T.A.A. and in 1979 he wrote the company history, Challenge in the Skies: The Founding of T.A.A.. Item #168262
