First edition. *Alexander Gordon (1781-1872) was a captain in the 15th Hussars and fought in the Peninsular war, serving under Sir John Moore. In 1847 he was awarded the Peninsular Medal with clasp for Sahagun. The maps are from sketches executed by Captain Gordon. Item #173168
