First edition, being one of 100 numbered copies printed for Siegfried Sassoon and Geoffrey Keynes. Keynes A56. *This copy is monogrammed in ink by the author at the colophon [Keynes does not call for this], where it is also initialled 'H.T.', apparently in Sassoon's hand. Perhaps it was a presentation copy for the writer H. M. Tomlinson, to whom, in 1956, Sassoon dedicated Sequences, the limited edition of which is a companion in binding format to the present volume.
