Pp. 74, wood-engraved frontispiece, title page vignette, pictorial headpieces, colophon device and full page map; tall impl. 8vo; blue, white & red boards, lettered and decorated in gilt, edges a trifle rubbed, the white cloth slightly soiled; uncut; outer leaves and edges faintly browned and lightly foxed; Golden Cockerel Press, London, 1953. Edition limited to 300 numbered copies. Cock-a-Hoop 191. *Lacking the slipcase. The Ingleton copy, with the bookplate of G. & N. Ingleton on the upper pastedown and the green Ingleton Catalogue number stamp on the lower pastedown. Later from the library of David Levine, Sydney, whose book label is also on the upper pastedown. Tipped onto the upper free endpaper is an autograph letter to Ingleton from the editor, initialled G. R., including a brief reference: 'Yes - Golden Cockerel are now printing my "New Letters of Nelson" so I hope it will be out in 1951'. Rawson also congratulates Ingleton on his library: 'I wish I had a collection like yours - it will be of such interest later on, when you retire in slippered ease with leisure to browse over them'.
