First edition. Wing S5477. *Posthumously published. Peter Sterry (1613-1672) graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge, in 1633. He was one of fourteen divines nominated for the Westminster Assembly and, after a time as Chaplain to the commander of Parliamentarian forces in Staffordshire and Warwickshire (Robert Greville, 2nd Baron Brooke), he became chaplain to Oliver Cromwell.
